University Nowadays...

Nowadays, it is not hard to continue the education process from high school to university, while previously people find it hard to go on to the next step mostly because of cost issues. University itself is considered as the most important step of learning or studying life as the tools for brighter future. University is basically an institution at the highest level of education where you can study for a degree or do research (Press, 2011). Meanwhile generally university cost more than you can imagine, the cost itself is the bigger than other education process like elementary or high school. With all of those cost issues, many people are not able to get the chances to continue with university. Poverty is also taking part in this situation where there are so many poor people who did not continue their educational life even since elementary school. But, besides all of those inability to continue to the next step, nowadays many people are able to take the next step to university, even with taking double degrees or double major. The globalization matter makes many people tend to enter university easily as long as they have brain and no other than money. As the definition, “Globalization' is commonly used as a shorthand way of describing the spread and connectedness of production, communication and technologies across the world” (Smith M. K., 2002). Not only national universities, international universities are now spreading widely here in Indonesia in order to give different way of learning and also experiences. Those reasons make universities in the country getting more famous because of the educational style they offer. International universities for example are now offering double major or double degrees for their students. Even national universities are now having international class where they learn in different way from the national one and slightly the same with international universities usually do.
